| Since January 2ooo our new
orchid nursery is open to the public. On 1.5oon squaremeter in 3 houses
with different climates the beginner as well the advanced connoisseur will
surely find his right plant. For the moment we have some 2,ooo different
species and hybrids. With that we are one of the largest variety in
Europe. Our main attention is to species, but there is also a great bulk
of hybrids. We have a very large stock of Cattleya, Coelogyne,
Dendrobium, Dracula, Encyclia, Laelia, Masdevallia, Phalaenopsis. You
also can find here a lot of so called Mini-Orchids. Within the hydrids we
have a great, worthwhile collection of Vandas, Cattleyas, Paphs and "Cambrias".
- Furtheron we offer diverse exotic attendent plants (Bromeliads, Ferns, Araceas, Palms, etc.) as well as bigger solitary plants. - By appointment we can manage guided tours for groups in our green houses with the lecture "culture of orchids on the windowsill" for a small fee. This offer is already well recommanded. Busses are welcome! - We also have a bookstore, devoted to orchid literature only and some additions. Some 4oo items are always in stock, starting with books for the beginner to second hand and antique. - Anything around orchids (sundries) can be acquired in the nursery: compost, pots, baskets, fertilizer, labels, T-shirts etc. - There are two catalogues on internet about our supplies. They will be updated regularly. We are sending books and plants to all parts of the world, but prepayment is requested. - The "market house" is not in that way, like you are used to from other green houses. We created a more private atmosphere in the middle of orchids and other tropical plants, where you would like to have a break and rest. The large selling exhibition is always changing. Within this botanic garden we started a small museum of rustic tools. - If you feel thirsty you can visit our Cafeteria. - At the first week-end of february there are our "days of open doors". On a fine exhibition we show some of our flowering stud plants and other orchid treasures. - At the third week-end in July we shall have an "orchid-summer-festival" with tent, music and meals. Accompaning is a great selling exhibition of Art & Crafts, who partly also performe at their booths. Also offerings for the garden are presented. - At the second week-end in December there will be a Christmess Fair of Art & Craft. Both fairs present only artist and craftsmen, who prepare their goods of high quality by themselves. No kitsch and trash allowed! - 1-2 times a year under the motto "orchids & art" diverse artists get the opportunity, to present their work or collections in our ambience. - Throughout the year lessons and lectures are offered about orchid care, repotting etc. As far as our time and vigour admits, we try to create an Arboretum (botanic garden with mainly trees) on our nearly 1o ha large area. This work already started with the help of our customers and friends. Further helpers and aid are heartly welcome.

At first direction Donnersdorf, next crossroad left. In Steinsfeld the very first street left, up the hill (passing the church), then always straight on until you reach the nursery.
